Hm, is it joint ill? To my knowledge, the mother doesnt pass that on. Its something the calf gets immediatly after being born, but I could be wrong. Did the vet prescribe anitbiotics? We had a calf with joint ill and it pulled thru just fine. We thought she was a goner tho for ahwile. So allow plenty of time to heal. Ours was born in a feedlot and never got colustrom from its mother, thus lowering her immunities.
We have a calf about 45 days old,
