Hey greenpasture78,

I remember you saying that you had Indian blood in you and that your grandma was Shoshone(sp?) right? My grandparents are flying to Oregon to visit friends at the end of the month. I was wondering if you could suggest some of those Indian run casinos for them to visit while they were there. Thanks for the info!

I ain't GP78, and am thankful for that! However, the casino on exit 99 of I5 is supposed to have a great Prime Rib buffet and is priced reasonable.

Alex,

Now i am wondering if i just stepped into something - were you really looking for a casino or ?????

On the subject of Indian casinos, a couple of guys who work with me went to the new casino just over the state line in Oklahoma. It is about 100 miles from Dallas, but they told me that the gambling was kind of strange there. The casino didnt give free drinks, there wasnt a hotel attatched to it, no comps were given for lunch or merchandise. It actually seemed to be run more like a business or a factory than the very lively, noisy and free alcohol flowing joints I've been to in Las Vegas and Shreveport!

Is this common is most Indian casinos, or was this the exception?

Eric, the only casinos I've been in were the Vegas ones. Is it true they pump oxygen into those places so you don't get sleepy? Maybe we need an expert?

Eric,

The casino up in OK isn't worth going to in my book. There are no table games(blackjack, roulette), only slots. And the slots are actually bingo. They get around some weird gambling law by making them bingo. Go figure. I know when I was in Vegas, I never got sleepy, but who knows. There are also some casinos that only allow you to only buy so many dollars worth of chips per day. I'll stick with Bossier and Vegas.
