Tomorrow Scotland votes for independence from the UK. Polls sound like they are close. They have even dropped the voting age to 16. Should be interesting. Do you think they will opt out or vote to stay in?

Just what the world needs another socialist nation..........don't get me wrong I truly like and admire the Scots but the prediction is they will go pure socialist.

 I think if I were to bet a buck or two on the outcome, I'd bet they stay i

They can't afford the cost of socialism.

My guess is that it will be a very tight election, barely voting for retaining---------status quo.

Me too. Then they will have the recount, then the suites filed in various courts. It will be that way no matter who wins.

They are screwing up IMO as they will have a worthless currency throwing them into lower than third world status,
when they loose the backing of the pound.
Most of the banking and investors will leave throwing them into runaway inflation.
They have no value to Nato as they have no military, building one will throw the government in
a deeper deficit. They will not be part of the EU either.

Not really as their oil fields are in decline and are very expense to drill and operate compared to other areas around the globe.

I just figured with something this polarizing that there would be endless BS before it's all finished. Maybe not as bad as afganistan I hope.

The UK isn't socialist enough for them???

Anyone read Orwell's "Down and out in Paris and London"? One of the things that struck me was that you could quite easily starve to death in Paris, but in London, if you were willing to give up some of your dignity, you'd be well taken care of.

Ditto...Bruno
Big time mistake for them if they do. It's about 65 years too late for the benefits to them to outweigh their troubles.

FREEDOM! Although the English have let too many foreigners in, so the votes of the great clans are probably negated in this day of age.

Whichever way brings the single malt whiskey my way.
Hook you may have to check with 3way on this but the Presbyterian church originated in Scotland. It is my understanding that they use "scotch" instead of wine at communion. Might be worth checking into.
