I am about to wean some steers that I will sell in about 4 mo. I have been doing some research, some research says that you should be implanting between 2 to 3 time if you are selling to a commercial buyer. I am wondering what experiances others have doing this? Have there been any difference in market price? what kind of gain would you think you could experiance with doing this? And is this too young to implant calves in your experiance. I like to read alot of research but like the old dairy man said since when have you ever see a cow read a book. any opinions or experiance is welcomed.

what kind of implants do you use kenny? what are you feeding if I may ask?

Ralgro, and this is calves on cows and then weaned calves. Once weaned I feed a mix of 1/3 corn, 1/3 soyhulls, and 1/3 corn gluten with what grass or hay they will eat.

Save yourself some time and money and put a 200 day compudose in then or if you keep them longer than 200 day use encore. That's a 400 day one.....Ralgro is a waste of time compared to compudose
