A couple of friends who I went to college with do a lot of promo work for several companies in the St. Louis area. They have recently decided to start doing websites, logo work, catalogs, directories, etc. for cattlemen, horse people. sheep, etc. They called me the other night and were wanting some basic info. on ways they can promote their new venture.
I told them to try and contact some local breed associations, advertise in the MO Cattleman's magazine, salebarns, some local fairs but I felt I wasn't able to give them much advice. Thought I would get on here and ask if any of you have any ideas I may not have thought of.
Another piece of advice I gave them may not have been good advice and thought I would run it by you guys. They are used to charging by the hour and I told them that I thought they would be more successful if they came up with a flat fee for certain types of jobs.
