I will wait on this one...

Help Support CattleToday:

I tag several hundred a year, and I can only think of a couple that would let me easily tag their calf. I have a calf pole with a hook. I will drive up beside a fresh one, jump up on the flat bed and drag the calf up on to work it over. Everyone tells me that won't happen once I get some more age on me, but right now it's a easy.

I Don't hold protecting their calf against the cow. I would be more concerned with them not trying to kill me.

The majority of them will just stand, smell, and bawl at the calf on the back of the truck.
I do have a few that go ape-syte. I've had a few with both front feet up on the bed, that's a little over the top.
