I might have to

Help Support CattleToday:

Well I don't know who is driving these vehicles with Texas plates. Maybe they are mobsters who steal Texas plates off pickup trucks and put them on cars.
I was just messing with you mostly but just because you have a Texas plate, doesn't make you a Texan. Kind of like just because you have the hat, it doesn't make you a cowboy.šŸ˜„

I don't know, last time I was up in the area, if I remember right, the car said I was from Illinois. The time I was in the New England area it was Colorado. Probably won't see MY Texas plates. I tend to fly the first 1500 or so miles then drive the next 2000.

Well I went to town this morning. Drove about 23 miles on the freeway. Not much traffic but I took my little run around S-10 so what traffic there was passed me. 10 or 12 assorted vehicles. Mostly WA, ID, and OR. But one Colorado and one Texas.

Not tourist season here. Only tourist attraction this time of the year is the Oregon coast which is near 400 miles from here. Fly into Boise and get a rental car. Sure but to visit north east Oregon? Lot more flights into Portland. That is over 300 miles to the west. The wife says they are visiting relatives. Yep, Texans who moved here. The fact is when I lived in Western Washington I met several people who moved there from Texas.

Texas Jersey Milker moved from Texas to Oregon. Prime example. And she is breaking the law by keeping her Texas plates on her pickup. One day local law enforcement will get tired of seeing those Texas plates drive around and give her a very large ticket.

My truck is registered in Texas and insured in Texas. Registration stickers are current. I still have a address in Texas. It's all legal. One of my ancestors died at the Alamo. My great great grandfather lived west of the Pecos and drove cattle on the Goodnight-Loving trail.

Where is your drivers license from?

Wonder how many times he passed your "texas" truck.

Just like NEW YORK. Everyone thinks of NYC - which runs the state. city city city
But....agriculture is the number ONE business in NY. NY is 99% (maybe over-exaggerating) COUNTRY. It is absolutely beautiful. We would LOVE for NYC to become a separate entity like Washington DC.
yeah I always get a kick out of how New York state is rural by population locale and Arizona is an urban state. šŸ¤Ŗ

You probably do see a lot of Texas plates along the west coast. Human nature impels folks to go watch a train wreck.

And while it's on my mind - it's rude for yall to ask where people are from on this site. If there from Texas they'll tell you - if not, don't embarrass them.

My neighbor moved here to western WA from Texas 2-3 years ago. He's cool, lets me run cows on his pasture, and occasionally brings over a homemade wood fire pizza.

Thursday I went to the sale in La Grande which is about 75 miles west on the freeway. Very little traffic and I had an empty trailer so not many cars passing me. One car that did pass had Texas plates. On the way home that afternoon I had the trailer stacked full of cows (probably over weight) going slower every one was passing me. Got passed by a Dodge pickup with Texas plates. I had bought a lot of cows so I went back the next morning for my second load. Once again empty and zooming along. But a pickup with Texas plates passed me headed west. On my way home with the second load of cows cars are passing me. This time it was a yellow colored Jeep with Texas plates that passed me. I tell you we are being invaded by Texans. Maybe the illegals crossing the border are stealing vehicles in Texas and driving them up here. Who knows?
