In France, a farmer commits suicide every two days. That's the shocking statistic quoted in a new report released on Thursday, which will set alarm bells ringing in France's Ministry of Agriculture, which is struggling to revitalize the flagging sector.

I don't know this for a fact but Im guessing that has a lot to do with males failing at their job. The suicide rate among males in the US is simular when businesses fail, they lose their job, or file bankruptsy.

If I had to live in socialistic country like France and be forced to join a farmer's union and hold my hand out waiting for a government subsidy while I'm buried under bureaucratic paperwork just to move an animal to another field, I'd probably opt to off myself too. Of course I did read that all the flags the US put on the moon have now bleached white from the UV rays of the sun, so I would think the French now have something to be proud of since they now can claim they were the first country to walk on the moon.
