Hybrid vigor?

I am starting a small herd and am planning on using a 3/4Beefmaster1/4Brangus bull on brangus cows. My question is, Can I expect to see the advantages of hybrid vigor or are these two breeds too closley related eg. Beefmaster is 50%brahman 25%hereford 25%shorthorn, and Brangus is 3/8brahman 5/8angus?

I would think that you would still see some advantage from the original BritishxBrahman blood but I wouldn't see much additional advantage to the second cross.

I don't think you'll see any real difference from heterosis. About the only difference I think would be individuals variation.

Just Do It! That's an advantage of a small herd. You can experiment without "messing up" hundreds of calves. I think the calves would be beautiful anyway.
