Help Support CattleToday:

An update,
I connected the Cajun navy and the NC cattleman's association. CN was the first to respond, there interested and trying to lineup the logistics for it. The NCCA are also interested but at this time they couldn't handle large round or square bales only small squares. I'm sure someone will get it worked out before long. You can't really sustain a heard of any size for long with small squares unless you have a lot of labor.

More trees across the fence is stressful.
I was blessed. I have about 15 large trees down, tin off barn and country kitchen. Rain. Gauge registered 15.86 on meter. I have so many trees on fence and haven't started removing them yet as many fell down the fence row, tearing down the fence but the tree made a new fence itself and trees leaning over the fence but lodge in another on the other side of fence ( I hate those kind) so my priorities have been cleaning off my road so we can get to main highway, removing trees off my 2 neighbors house, so far no cows have gotten out and hopefully I can get started on some of the worse this week. We were out of power go 6-1/2 days. I thank GOD for my 3 generators but mostly I thank him for the fact that everyone, including cattle and my cattle dog survived with no injuries. All the towns around me, (Metter, Statesboro, Cobbtown, Reidsville, Lyons and Vidalia (all in Georgia) just to name a few, had no power, water or gas. Closest gas I found the day after was Pooler, Ga., 70 miles from me. I had a friend that made a gas hall (very dangerous) for several people and he went and brought back in his truck over 20, 5 gallon cans down Interstate 16. Many roads are still closed and homes destroyed , but all around my area, are alive and well. We are blessed. Thank GOD prayers where answered.🙏✝️🧎🏻‍♂️🙏

Is there a bad need for hay?
On my end of the county my neighbors and myself lost 500 rolls. The Jonesville hay train said that they were going make another run Sunday. If they do I think that we will be OK. I don't know about the northeast end of the county in Poga/Elk Mills. They got hit worse than us, but it is nearly impossible to get in there because of bridges washed out. That is where the video above that I posted was taken.

If im home by then i will try to send some rolls. Or later on i definitely can bring some directly to you.

In a week, we'll be talking about the damage in Florida from currently Cat5 Hurricane Milton.
My daughter lives not far from Orlando and she is a nursing case manager at a large hospital there. Her orders are to be there almost around the clock for pre and post hurricane medical needs. I hope the storm peters out before it gets there. Her area is expected to get lots of rain and wind.
