Checked cows last night and found 2 had calved. Got them both in the barn and out of the cold wind.
One calf got up and started nursing and as I watched he would head butt his mom for more milk.
I had to do a double take while he was doing this. When he would butt one side of the bag, milk would squirt out the the other two quarters on the opposite side. :lol:
Never seen anything like it.

they just telling mommie they want more milk.an they dont know theres milk on the other side as well.

:nod: :nod: I have seen that too. Or when trying to help a new born who is having trouble figuring out the whole nursing deal you put it up to one nipple to suck and the one on the opposite side starts leaking. So you move the calf to the other side and then the one you were just at starts leaking. No wonder the calf gets confused. :lol2:
