We have our first cow I raised from a 400lb heifer. She's coming with her 8th calf next month. Honestly, she's in the best shape I've ever seen her aside from being a young heifer. Pulled her calf a touch early this last time because that's when I was selling calves.
Wife wants her to stay here til she dies. I'll admit I'm a bit fond of her. She's not a pet. But just a good ol cow.
My buddy that trades a lot told me something the other day.
Cow ain't got no loyalty man. As long as they got food and water, they don't care who's bringing it, or care if they ever see your face again.
