How old does everybody else have their heifers bred?

Sound atheletic bulls can keep more weight off cows than smaller non atheletic bulls.

All I know is, we turned these 13-14 month old heifers in with the bull in the pictures this spring, and nobody got hurt. I'm confident he'll weigh more than 1800, but our heifers had to be pushing a good 900 or better, based on their yearling weights and further growth.

My brother's bull weighed 2600 Lbs and breed a 700 Lbs heifer with no problem. He is older now and even though he doesn't weigh as much I don't think he could support himself well enough to do it again.
