I am considering converting some land I have from tilled land into pasture. I currently have wheat in the ground. After I harvest I am planning on planting grass seed. How long after I seed do you think it will be before I can graze/bale? I am thinking a year to get a solid stand. What do you think?

Depends on what you plan on planting. Most cool season grasses you can graze the same year as establishment, warm season grasses will take a year maybe 2.

It takes about 2 years to get a good stand. I will graze the first year not heavy or cut for hay if smooth enough to control weeds. It all depends on moisture, hot and cold.

Ditto. Increasing the recommended seeding rate will shorten time a little.

But increasing it too much will slow it down.
