Everyone else seems to be selling out I’m steadily getting further and further in. Will be able to put another 12-15 pair of corrientes to work for me with this new picked up place

When we have gotten places that are overgrown and such, we tend to overgraze them a bit the first year to find any "hidden treasures" or obstacles... like old equipment and such that we don't want to be running up on with a tractor or bush hog... or driving through in the truck or 4 wheeler or such...Plus it gives you a feeling for what all they really will eat...and opens up the undergrowth with them tromping through it. Then being able to see things, to do a good job of bushogging... and go from there.
That looks like a pretty decent place overall...

Everyone complains about the city moving in. They are blind to the opportunity it provides. Just don't count on it for any longer than your lease. Sometimes the best use for a lease isn't buying more cows. It's in saving your own grass and hay.
One thing about lease land if it goes bust cows always sale on mondays around my neck of woods

I’ve found a lot of the older couples around my area are tired of the upkeep on fences and maintaince the land requires but don’t wanna sell it but older men and women are always chatting and word of mouth has gotten me a few little small spots not far apart to put cattle. 5 head here 10 head there doesn’t sound like much but start adding up to 45-50 head on land that cost very little to utilize. The name of game with all the prices of fuel feed fertilizer is cutting cost And saving where I can at $15 a acre it helps offset all the other bull butter that I can’t prevent spending money on

do you breed the corrientes to angus bulls? if so how do the calves do at the sale?
They do fine if they come solid colored which most of mine do but I do have some heifers that are painted up right now I won’t haul Them to sale I’ll sell
Them Out of pasture or keep them. I got $1.25-$1.35 for my steers last year
The
Heifers brought 1.10-1.15

O boy....
Now you've done it!
Ain’t hiding nothing you pull up to the house there they are horned cows with beef sired babies at their sides. They know what I buy at Sale to sometimes I throw them for a loop and bid on beef cows that really messes with their heads. Like tomorrow I’ll be in on the corriente and longhorn. cows but I think i may throw a few bids at the milk cows and herford breds and pairs

Never Ai’d anything in my life. I bought some bred to charlious bulls calves where all solid white they sold well to suckers got big pretty quick as well
You bring up a good point, bred to a Charolais adds muscle, growth, and gets a more consistent color.
