Hot fertilizer

Planting a new asparagus bed. Always read that they can take a hot fertilizer bed. Do you think manure straight out of the cow lot would be okay or does it need top be aged some?

I wouldn't pack fresh right around the roots but do use kinda fresh in a 5 gallon bucket as a "tea".
For bed prep I use aged with soil about 50-50 mix. But I've only built 2 beds so.....

I have used fresh manure in my new flower and garden beds - I just dump it on and dig it in - I have yet to have a problem with it burning anything. I generally use manure as a 'mulch' sort of thing on established beds.
