thinking of getting a good cattle horse. Sale coming up has listings under "Loose Horses",and "Ride In's", and "Lead In's." What does all this mean?

Loose horses: horses that are sold in the ring without a handler

Ride Ins/Throughs: horses that are ridden in the sale ring

Lead Ins: horses that are lead, but not ridden, in the sale ring

Take care.

Right on the nose CattleAnnie, I'll add that you can judge how well the horse is trained by how it is brought in. A loose horse my have never been handled before, a lead in probably has not been started but has some ground training.

Good luck,
Alan
