looks like she is on her way to drop a nice healthy calf. hope everything has or is going well. I always look forward to my first calf of the season. my first group is due Dec 16 but last year they started on the 6th with the first due on the 16th also.

I'm hoping I can catch her calving still haven't got to witness it in person they always have them when I'm not around

I didn't catch her calving but just got home went to check and got a new baby bull calf.

Around here, vets are extremely good at palpations. Of course, this is dairy country - they do LOTS OF IT.

my vets have always been excellent at palpation and aging...
it helps them if you can give them days since breeding...
lets them calibrate their arm as a manner of speaking...
my new vet does all of hers with a scope and at the right window can sex the calf..
