What breed is this cow? She is docile and very tall. Her color and length of hair are...uh...unique. Thanks to all for replying...

Looks like Red Angus or Limousin X with Scottish Highlander. Whatever she is kind of looks like James Brown was in the woodpile.

I would say a black angus x Limousin cross, I have several in the herd that look just like her. They have made great momma cows

I would say very little Highland... If any.

i would say saler, i would discount highlander because you said she is tall. being docile isnt a saler trait, but the long hair and deep red and being tall is.

Question: Are these two cows the same individual?? Looks as if there is 1/4 Black Angus (look at the head shape and the poll color) and perhaps Gelpvieh or Red Angus referring to the second picture, not the first one. Trim the first one's head and then guess again.
