Sounds similar to Grassland CRP. Grassland CRP is prioritizing the Panhandle / Dust Bowl region.

when there is a shortage of cattle for the feed lots they will just import more, or just enough the keep domestic cattle prices low and get more for their imports. since the big four are foreign owned I wouldn't expect anything different.

Might be something similar happening now. NCBA & USMEF keep bragging about record beef exports. US herd numbers are at all time lows. Seems to be record imports of Brazil beef coming into the USA. Something seems off...
