I don't know what they put in the Southern States Mag-O-Min mineral mix @12% Mg, but the cows sure suck it down - cost's me a fortune, but think it worth it as performance this past fall & so far this spring has been excellent (I am sure there are other factors coming into play as well). Came off just a salt with trace minerals (Morton TM Salt Plus 4 - high iodine content). Think I had a yearling start into grass tetney fall before last & since have used the high mag mix.
I will agree that the calves seem to eat it faster than the cows, if that's possible.
