hiefer with sore foot

I have an approx 7 month hiefer who has a sore leg. She started with a small cut. now leg is swallon. pen was give for 5 days. then off for 5 back for 5. no change and now more sores have developed and puss filled sores. any ideas I am stumped other then calling the vet. please any ideas would be great.

If you gave pennicillin and more sores and puss have developed, then I would call a vet for an opinion.

My personal opinion on my doctoring skills are if I try what I think will help, and it only gets worse, I either ask an"old pro" or call the vet. Better to pay the vet bill than potentially lose the heifer.

How much penicillin? I think I would call the vet as it sounds like she may have developed an abcess.

Other nasty diseases have similar symptoms...I'd get her to the vet possibily do a culture....DMc
