Hesston 5600

I have a hesston 5600 round baler. I am having problem when the bale gets to around 3.5ft the hay stops baling. The baler picks the hay up and it discharges out the back. If I notice when it is happening I can tap the hydraulics, tightening the tailgate and the baler starts working again, but it really start working the tractor then. The baler does not have a manual lock, it is all hydraulic.

I guess if your baler doesn't have any leaks,your tractor is bleeding off.I have had that problem if I road the baler several miles from home and I foget to shut the gate down before I start baleing.Maybe you could tap the lever every so often to keep it from starting to open,until you can get your leak fixed.
