Been here all week. Hotter than h. Yesterday kicked my butt. Today we show cow calf, bull and big heifer. Fireworks were crazy and awesome here

A thing to keep in mind when selecting heifers for the showstring is that a little extra neck extension goes a long way for femininity and usually means you can get by by making them a little fatter before running the risk of a heavy brisket.

In the B& O show he picked smaller cattle. The bigger ones got beat consistently. I thought we would be ok in the owned class, but he never looked at us.
Yea me too. I had a heifer that got 5 out of 17 at the state fair then went to a local yokecal fair and got dead last, might be the judge, but it sure makes a good laugh with friends. :lol2: :nod:KNERSIE":k2o6nvsq said:Call me a sore loser if you like, but I also get a sense of humour failure when that happens.
