Yes it is.
We work our cattle on foot. Have had them so long and through so many generations they already know what to do. Sure makes it easier just to ease them where we want them to go. Also when we call them they come running because they always get a reward.
Sometimes we just put the in the corral and feed them a few cubes just so they won't think everytime they go in the corral something bad is going to happen.

We work our's the same way, can't drive the mule across the pasture, their all looking for a cube. When we pen sometimes the calves that are bound for auction don't want to go in kinda like they smell a rat. Lucy (trained Bordie Colllie) she finishes the job. Mostly my brangus calves are the ones that seem to suspect something.
