Any thoughts on the breeding of the heifer, P43342611? She is in a sale tomorrow, 4H kid showed her. I bought her heifer last year and considered this one. One good thing I know exactly what she is bred to, my bull.

She has the pedigree.
If she looks worth a durn I would put her in my pasture.
The only thing is she does have a higher BW than I really like.
Her WW are real good.

She has a good disposition and is bred to a calving ease Angus bull. She stayed here to be bred, should be about 7 months bred. What would you think she would bring?

I haven't a clue I paid 1800 for a commercial heifer last April that was the second place girl at the fair.
Been expecting to have to get off 2500 this year at the fair as cow's are up. These are commercial girl's.
You have figure in the kid factor with the animal cost as well.

I gave $1400 for a short bred one last year, this one is heavier bred, would like to get her for $1800 or so, just have to see.

Too rich for me today, she brought $2600. Just too hard to justify.

I don't even try and justify the FFA/4H girls anymore gave up on that years ago.
I know what you mean but I didn't want that much in her. The 4H girl was excited that she brought that, she expected $1600 or so.

Half starved and crazy Charbrangusfords are selling for close to that right now, you may have passed up a good one. P606 is a popular sire in the Louisiana Market Bulletin.

I have a yearling bull that is line bred on Boomer 46B. He is doing well on nothing but grass, hay, and mineral. Took these this morning. I think he looks a lot like 46B. He is next to a 1400-1450 pound Brahman.
