Hereford Heifers

Took these pictures day before i took these heifers to the vet to check if they were bred. I feel like this pictures of them in the barn don't do them justice. I'll try and post some of them in the field in the next couple of days. I bought these two heifers from a guy not far from where I live. They are P606 granddaughters out of second calver Beckleys cows. 802 has alot of pigment. 805 only has alittle bit on one eye.

They look like solid replacement heifers. Deep and adequate thickness and length, good topline, good rear quarter IMO.

Baldie Maker- I agree with Tom, they look exactly like replacement heifers should. There's no major holes in them, EPDs are fine, they are the kind that will work. If my memory is correct, both Doc and Knersie have posts that explain how to take good pictures, you might look into that to get the best representation of your animals. What are they being fed, and is your plan to make black baldies or reg. herefords? Good luck with them.

those are some well made thick heifers.they should throw you some good calves.

Right now we're feeding them ground ear corn with alfalfa and molassis mixed in along with the best hay we have on the farm. I am going to take a select sires A.I. course in march and when i get to pick my semen i'll probably take and try to bred them with karat and not to use this year but maybe in the future the tradation bull. Pictures of him.. Ken said he weaned at 590 off of a heifer with no creep.

Wouldn't mind to have some 3027 semen either tho..
