what type of hair do Hereford have during the summer and winter time. what type of temper does a hereford have.

What is the temperment of the Charolais.

During the sumer Herefords have a short smooth coat, during the winter it is long and still relatively smooth, but when drying after having been soaked it may appear curly. Herefords are considered to be the best dispositioned of the common cattle breeds.

In general Herefords have one of the best dispositions. Charolais tend to be more flighty & up headed.

However, in all breeds there are some baby dolls and some nut cases.

My daughter is raising a Charolais cross (not sure what the cross is). She just showed her last week at the Walker County Fair. The heifer is as gentle as a lamb. She follows my daughter around like a puppy dog. My daughter lays on the heifer, she's gentle as can be.
