Hello,

I hope someone can help me out. I'm looking to buy a Hereford bull for my Angus Cows and was wondering if it matters which one I get Polled or Horned. Can anyone help with this what's the difference between these two besides one having horns?

Thanks in advance

If you can find 2 bulls that are equal except for the horns I would go with the polled one. If your cows are typical "angus" which means black with a lot of angus blood but maybe something else in them, you'll have a better chance of polled calves out of the polled Hereford the nthe horned. Not all polled Herefords are homozygous polled so on cows with a horn gene there is a chance that some of the calves will be horned.
