Thanks to everyone for the well wishes, it means more than you know. And for those of you that know me, I don't say that lightly. I think the doc is just keeping mum until he knows for sure. He, along with another surgeon, will be doing the procedure. I'm always the optomist, so I naturally look for the brighter side. I've done a lot of soul searching lately - and if and when I do come out of this I really think I'll be a better person for it. So many things that a person takes for granted until it might not be there. That won't happen in the future, however long I have. Like Kenny Chesney says, everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to go now. Caustic, I've heard great things about M.D. Anderson. Lady Bird Perkins Cancer center here in Baton Rouge has gotten some really good reviews as well. If it does turn out to be for the worse, I won't play around - I'll fight like the worst Brangus you ever saw. I have three kids and a wife that are depending on it. How do you explain to a 4 year old these types of things. You don't really, but my 13 and 11 year old are all too aware of what's going on. We lost my 11 year old's best friend's dad about 6 months ago to lukemia. He went to M.D., but lukemia is so ruthless... I grew up with his wife from when I was a kid. Words cannot comfort or express the feelings that you want to convey to someone who's not even 35 and just lost her husband. Thanks again for the well wishes. I go in Thursday for the surgery, but they tell me that it will take three to five days for the biopsies to come back. So maybe early next week I'll get some good news.
