Help Support CattleToday:

Brangus: breed composed of Angus & Brahman
BrangusX: i'm guessing an animal that is a cross between Brangus and another breed
BMF: could be Black Mottled Face
BWF: could be Black White Face (also known as a black baldie)

Ryan nailed it! :) The only thing I could add is that sometimes (I think it's mostly a regional thing, but could be wrong) BMF are referred to as BBF - Black Brockle Face.

RWF - red white face
BWF - black white face
RBF - red brockle face
BBF - black brockle face
TWF - tan white face
TBF - tan brockle face

Add an H in front for horned.

ie:HRWF

x- cross

ie: Herf/Simm X

It is late and I have more - but they do not come to mind as I write.

Regards,

Bez?

Around here we would call them motley face, in other areas they call them brockle face. Seems to be a regional thing.

The sale barn here called this one a Jersey X

Have never heard the term brockle face here in Texas.

Well, I guess that makes us even - I'd never heard the term 'motley face' until I found this board.
