Looking for advise for a bull I have 2yr old that either stepped on his "tool" and it swelled up at the end into a ball about the size of a orange. He was sent to the vet for a couple weeks for treatment and it never relly got better. The drainage stopped and finally the wound healed but still has the ball on the end of it. He is headed for the sale barn but was wanting input on if he would be good to be processed or not. Unsure on what medications was given at the vet but that could be found out I think. Any help with this would be great. I hate this happend because he was bought about a year ago and he's registered but that''s how it goes.

I would think that any meds giving in July should be out of his system by now, if unsure call your vet and ask about the with drawl period for each med.

However, if you are going to eat him I would take only the tender cuts and turn the rest into ground beef.IE tenderloin and t-bones and rib eye etc.The brisket should still be OK for corned beef.

Sorry that's all I have.

Why would you mess up a good smoking brisket for corned beef?

We have done that too it's kind of like bacon then, it's good. :)

I like corned beef better though.
