Hi, I've been lurking around the forum for a while and finally joined. I live in S.W. Missouri just outside Springfield. I'm a teacher and farm 80 acres and run mostly registered Gelbvieh, Balancer and Angus cows. Have been in the cattle business for 28 years now. Started out with all registered Angus cows then about 6-7 years ago started crossbreeding using some Gelbvieh A.I. bulls. Really liked the Balancers I was getting, ended up making a transition over to registered Gelbvieh and Balancers which now make up the majority of my herd. I still have a few registered Angus and few commercial cows too. I don't know if I will contribute much but I enjoy reading what others have to say here on the forum.
