Anyone plant seed that's been in the family or community for a long time? I am going to plant some of my old great aunt and uncles green beans. The seed has been around the county for 75 years or more. I've never planted them though. I am also planting some okra that's a friend of mines dads seed. It's old but I dont' know how old, maybe 40 or 50 years I guess. Anyone use any tomatoes or corn that is open pollinated heirloom type?

Planted some cantaloupe seeds that came from my grandfather. I sent some of those seeds to a friend 40 miles north of where I live and sent some to my aunt in Europe. My grandfather has been gone for years, but I can remember his storm cellar being full of jars containing seeds that he traded with family and freinds.
