I have a 450 lb heifer that started out with a cough and runny nose and would not eat. Got her up and worked he with LA200 on 10-01-05 no improvment. 10-04-05 reworked her with nuflor marked improvement on the cough and runny nose. Now the problem is she will not eat well at the bunks. She seems to graze and drink, but will not come up with the other most of the time. She also spends most of her day lying down away from the others. She seems a little stiff on both ends but does not appear to be sore in a foot or anything. They were moved from the sale barn second week of september. weaned and unk broke with all vacinations. Have been on 3-4 lbs of 12% creep feed since coming home. Any suggestions??

Sounds to me like you improved her condition and may need to repeat the nuflor.

You should have hit her again one to two days days after the LA200 and then every three days after Nuflor if you do not want to take a chance on her becoming a chronic. Check her temperature if there is any question. Its tough to get them back if you are slow to treat initially or if they relapse.

A bolus may help get her stomach working again.

Some MuSe or vitamen E and B would also be in order.

Drugs work, but it helps it you get her up and walk her by the feed and water a couple times a day.

After all the antibotics she may need some probios or some simular product to get the good bacteria back. Hope she get well.
