I have one 16 month old heifer whom I have observed in heat this winter a number of times but did not want to breed her until this april. I gave her factrel the first of the month, then lutylase plus heat detection patch the prescribed days later and turned her with three weaned eight month old bull calves in a pasture lot next to house. No observed heat, nothing close.
Waited ten days gave another lutylase; now seven days later and no heat, nothing. Suggestions?

depending on her size and calves size, they may not reach her if the patch is all your watching. bull calves seem to track them pretty hard a day before they go into heat.
Are you going to A I ? spend the money on a cidr if so.

Thanks for the cidr idea. I do see that lot many times a day and will be breeding A I.
