Just wondering how long after a Cow freshens does she have her first cycle?? Most of my cows had their calves in early March and I haven't noticed any in heat.We plan on putting the bull with them this weekend. It just seems funny that I haven't seen anyone being in heat??

THat is correct, however, the heat cycle will vary greatly depending on Body Condition Score and Nutritional Status. The better condition the cow is in before parturition the sooner she will return to heat after calving.

All things being equal, it depends on the individual cow. Some will have a calving heat as early as 10 days to 2 weeks post calving. Some will take longer like 2 months or more.
