Heads up - the Minnesota quarter

Hang on to any of the new Minnesota Quarters you may have or acquire. They may be worth MUCH MUCH more than 25 cents! The U.S. Mint announced today that it will be recalling all of the Minnesota quarters that are part of it's program featuring quarters from each state.

This action is being taken after numerous reports that the new quarters will not work in parking meters, toll booths, vending machines, pay phones or any other coin operated devices.

The problem lies in the unique design of the Minnesota quarter, which was designed by a couple of Norwegian specialists, Sven and Ole. Apparently the duct tape holding the two dimes and the nickel together keeps jamming up the machines.

Angie my ancestors are the same as yours. Grandpa on dad's side was Norwegian..BUT grandma being of Russian /German descent (actually right off the boat as an infant and her dad's secret ties to the Czar which we are still trying to untangle) put the kibosh on the whole lutefisk thing.. :lol2:

Btw I have tried lutefisk as my uncle makes it all the time and it is not bad at all, but I found it very bland.. :wave:

I have has catfish in Tenessee before, Nashville to be exact it was delicious.

Lats time I had catfish was in Alabama ,,blackened catfish ...My mouth is watering as I think of both dishes,,,YUMM...

angie those are good inventions as the English language could not function with out them.... ahhh's and er's.... umm. What was I saying ah! yeah. and as for Lutefisk I think I'll skip that one, but Louisiana Catfish now that was something else. yum yum.
