You need to add Kubota to the choices. There not much for row cropping but are good hay tractors. I use a Kubota 9960, Kubota 7060, JD 5400, and a JD 3020. Usually the first 3 because they have cabs, but the JD 3020 is the best tractor.

JD 2940 on the cutter
NH TL90 rake/tedder
JD 5100M on the baler

First chance I get the NH will get swapped for a Kubota. Gotta be the most gutless tractor I ever sat on,comfy and a nice cab but WEAK! Came as part of a package bought from a retiring farmer. I agree with Grit I think Kubota makes some good hay tractors, as good or better than JD e series and just a tick behind the 5m series.

Sorry I left out Kubota.Seems like a great tractor.Everyone who talks about them likes them.Might even try one myself someday.

IH, Case, and Case/IH should be all rolled into one option IMHO :)

I figured there were a lot of older tractors in both brands still in use.Two of my fords listed are pre-Ford/New Holland. The 6640 is a'94.Last year before the New Holland was added,I think.

6610 Ford stays on the 617 new holland disc mower
5525 John Deere cab rolls hay with 554xl Vermeer roller and we also mow with it with a 616 new holland
5303 John Deere we use it as a loader tractor and take and ted some with it
3910 New Holland cab that we primarily use to rake and ted within since it has Ac

I have a Ford TW5 and an Allis Chalmers 7000 that I use on the discbine, rake, and baler. The TW also has a loader so it usually loads out in the field. Have a Ford 5000 at the farm with a loader that does all the unloading and stacking.

Have a few other tractors that could pull the rake around but the cab with AC on the big tractors wins out everytime. haha

Valtra 8350 on the baler, usually mows too.

Maxxum 110 with loader, loads and mows sometimes. Has baled before when the Valtra had a flat.

Branson 4550 on the tedder and rake.

Ford 7710 on the discbine.
7610 on the tedder/rake.
8260 on the round baler.
7600 to fill in as needed.

I like blue.
