Hay on the ground

Help Support CattleToday:

We laid down 65 acres in 7 different fields Monday. Got 3/10 on it yesterday about lunchtime. Teddered it this morning and got another mist. Gonna tedder it in the morning and go for broke. If I can get the moisture below 20% it's gonna get rolled.

Got 60 acres of it baled before the dew made it too heavy. Started raining 30 mins later. What is left is only about 6-7 acres of Bahia so I'm not that disappointed. We saved it till last and will get it when we can. Just proud we got what we did baled.

Bbirder did you get yours baled?

We had to cut some fields for hay again. So much grass this year, we could have kept twice as many cows. Great great year, hope to have many more like it, fingers crossed. I'm a little worried that the cold fronts are making it through so early though. Could mean hard winter. But heck, we have tons of hay, so no worry we'll run out any time in the next 2 years.
