Hats

Help Support CattleToday:

Thought maybe there was a cowboy hat exception but then I remembered this one

"Momma always told me never to wear a hat indoors. When it can't rain on you, you're indoors."
Bum Phillips in reference to removing his hat in domed stadiums.

Hats are never to be worn indoors and especially not at the dinner/supper/lunch/breakfast table.

C'mon guys, ya gotta know that.

That's the way it is in this house and will be till I'm gone.

Hats can be left on indoors in public places. Should be taken off when entering a home. May be put back on if it is a informal visit.
Should always be taken off for national anthem and prayer.
Hat should be taken off the first introduction to a women.
Tiped when passing a women.
Taking off hat to another man is a insult.... :tiphat: ;-)

I can't imagine anyone taking their hat off to go into a feed store, but then, I've never been into a Tennessee feed store either. Is that an Al Gore rule?

About the only time I wear a hat anymore is when the sun is beating down pretty serious and I'm out in it.
Reasons for removing:
prayer
national anthem (NOT Lee Greenwoods thing, or the thing with John Wayne)
someone's home
my home
church, funeral, hospital room visit, etc
Leave it on:
eating in a public place like cafe, bar

I fully intend to. Used to live in Tenn. Never again!
Not one of my more pleasant memories either, but I can understand how they elected Mr Global Warming/internet inventor to congress so many times.

Now wait a minute. What about our good friend from California, Nancy Pelosi? (If you're going to discuss "jackazzes in politics")
Hopefully no one will
