TNMBP, yes I am BQA and Master Beef Producer Certified. I have used the program and got 50% reimbursement on a Green River sweep system w/ working pins and alley, a Head gate and squeeze chute ND new bull. I may apply on the scales next year along with some new hay rings and feed bunks.

EAT BEEF, I think Kentucky has a similar program and maybe some other states as well.
 
Why would you automatically have to creep feed? I assume your momma cows are good if this fella is interested. In good forage years, creep will do little more than put fat on. Drought years, of course, are another story. If creep is indeed necessary, maybe consider creep grazing alfalfa or other high protein forage. Should be cheaper than feed.
