Probably the best commercial cow in the herd started off my spring calving yesterday with a nice set of heifer twins, about 70 lbs each. Problem was she didn't want the youngest of the two. But it was a short term problem as I sold the rejected twin this morning for $600. Twins aren't looking so bad these days. :D

Never saw a problem with twins my self either. If the cow takes both them I leave them alone,If not I bottle feed the rejected calf. Either way I end up with 1100 plus pounds of beef off of a single cow. I have one right now with twin march calves that she is doing fine with. I cannot see a downside to this other than the extra trouble.
