I attempted making Halloumi cheese the other day but as soon as i tried to fry it in olive oil(you know like you get in restaurants!!) it crumbled on me. I used 8 pints of cows milk and a teaspoon of Citric acid instead of rennet.I can only buy rennet in large quantities so someone told me Citric acid works just as well?? I am only making for the household.Anybody out there who knows more about this?
