Sitting on the front porch watching it rain part of the 8 1/2" we got here yesterday and got to see a tornado go about 300 yards of the house, that will get your attention.

glad it missed you!
Last time we got hit we watched until it got about half a mile from the house before we bolted to the safe room in the basement. Barnyard was trashed. Again. Not what I consider excitement. You clean up, replace, repair, thank the Lord there were no injuries or casualties and move on but you never really get over it.

Glad things didn't get ugly for you. Only seen one up close in my life and it was surreal.
