I voted AZ. Looks alot like the Mogillon Rim or the South Rim and a little bit like lower Lees Ferry.

I read it too late to get in on the guessing, but as I read thru, I thought "Not any part of Texas I've been to" and I've been to Palo Duro, Seminole Canyon, all over Big Bend, did the Three Sisters down at Leakey this weekend and the pic didn't strike a chord with any of those.
A really nice painting tho--there's nothing not to like about it.
