24-D will give you 80-90% effectiveness without the pre-emergent residual.

I have only a hand pump that is of 1.0 gallon/1.5 gallon capacity. The label looks confusing to me and appears to be only for at least 3 gallons.

Can you help me figure out how much water and how much Grazon Next HL I need to add?

I'm with you. I have a 2 gallon sprayer. I want/ need to spot spray my horse pasture. I've searched, read labels and still can't figure out how much product to use. If horses can be left on the pasture or need to be removed. WTH! Shouldn't be this difficult.

Start a new thread with your questions, rather than bump threads that are several years old. And all of the info you need is on the label. Also available with a quick web search. It's not difficult if you know where to look.

Grazon HL comes in 2 gal. jugs, I mix 1 jug = 2gal= 256 oz in 300 gal sprayer. Dude next door uses 2.5 gal Grazon in his 300 gal sprayer, 10qts = 320 oz of Grazon per 300 gal water.
So you get the idea!

Need to know GPA of your nozzle to really know any thing.

It's hard to hand spray because it's not a consistent application like a fixed pump and nozzle rate. I tend to burn it hard because I don't move the wand fast enough. I would have to play with it and cu back the chemical based on my natural movement.
