Interesting article in Beef Magazine this month about grazing rates. Just curious what you all are paying for grass around the country. The chart listed in this article says Oklahoma is unchanged at $10.00 per pair per month.
I am paying $13.33 myself. Not a good situation considering the drought factor that is possibly going to persist.

Not exactly...lol. Grass always costs someone.

We don't graze away since we own our property and keep them here.

But..."I've heard" that grazing charges range anywhere between $10 and $25 a month per cow/calf pair and/or 1000# animal unit.

Add to that cost, hauling costs, management costs, fence repair costs, "worry" costs for cattle "off site", etc.

What have you got for native grass down there Bill? Curly mesquite? We have tallgrass primarily. Switch, little and big bluestem and indian grass.
You getting any moisture?
Thanks for posting.
