Grasshopper birds

Wow, those are some pretty neat birds. His beak looks like he eats small rodents too. I bet they are fun to watch when stirring up the bugs. Our barn swallows will dive around the tractor when I am mowing. They are catching the bugs I stir up. They follow me around as much as my dog does.

i dont think they have those in alabama

That's what I thought, too, until a couple of years ago when I saw one sitting on the power line. I used to see them when I was a teenager living in Texas, and never saw them after we came back home to Alabama until this specimen showed up. Never seen one since, though.
