I was reading on another chat board that New Zealand Jersey cattle have measured traits for their milking proofs on a forage diet, and that some were selected under a once a day milking regime. It also talked about the semen being available in NA. I can't remember where I saw it. I beleive there was a breeder in Montana included in the discussion. Can anybody point me in the right direction for this info; breeders, semen companies??

try crv4all.co.nz and lic.co.nz

Bulls have a 'once a day' index, the higher the better.
I'll check for more specific links later, rushing off now.

LIC claims the OAD index is exclusive to them, so they probably are the only NZ company testing bull progeny under once-daily milking.
This is their global website: http://www.licnz.com/
Both LIC and Ambreed http://www.crv4all.co.nz/shop/Dairy/Jersey.html can be contacted by e-mail, and I've found LIC responds quickly to queries (haven't dealt directly with Ambreed yet).

Samen http://samen.co.nz/ link with ABS global, and are also testing NZ-born bulls in New Zealand.

All bulls that are progeny-tested in New Zealand are tested under predominantly forage diets - the dairy farmer that houses cows and buys in most of their feed is an oddity out here.
